Hello!
My name is Patty Schmuecker and I'm beginning my 9th year of teaching at Loup Couny Public School. This will be my 11th year of teaching as I taught 2 years at a country school in Cherry County before coming to Loup County. I am the Title I teacher for K - 12 and I also teach several grades of Reading and Grammar. It varies from year to year, but last year I taught 1st grade Reading, Spelling, and Grammar; 3rd gradeReading; and 6th grade Reading and Grammar. I also have a K-1-2 reading program, Reading A - Z.
My home is in Atkinson but since my kids have all graduated and the only one home is my husband, I stay in Taylor through the week and commute home on weekends. My family consists of husband, Rod; daughter, Nicole, a hospice nurse, married and living in Kansas City with my 3 grandchildren; oldest son, Jacob, was killed in 2007 by a roadside bomb near Balad, Iraq; next oldest son, Joe, is a design engineer in Omaha, next oldest son, Chad, attends college studying Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement at Peru State College; youngest son, Cameron, attends college studying Pre-Engineering at Northeast Community College.
I'm attending college at UNK (University of Nebraska at Kearney) for my Master's Degree in Reading PK - 12. Plans are to graduate in July 2016. This summer as part of my class work, I made a video at home. If you'd like to watch it I'll give you a link!
